Wenn ich an Sommer denke, kommt mir sofort Sonne, Strand und Meer in den Sinn. Mit dem Sommer beginnt auch die Urlaubszeit nach Italien, Spanien, Kroatien oder in weiter weg gelegene Länder. Nächste Woche geht es für mich auf Abifahrt nach Novalja, Kroatien, der Beginn meiner Sommerurlaubsphase!
Egal ob man mit Auto, Bus, Zug oder Flugzeug verreist, die wichtigsten Dinge, um die Anreise angenehmer zu machen, sind für mich Handy, Kopfhörer, ein Nackenkissen und eine Schlafbrille.
Zu meinem pinken Nackenhörnchen brauche ich natürlich auch eine pinke Schlafbrille ( alles andere: No go! 😜 ), also habe ich mir kurzerhand selbst eine genäht.
Whenever I think of summer, the sun, the beach and the sea come immediately to my mind. One thing that also begins in summer is holiday – journeys to Itlay, Spain, Croatia or further countries. Next week, I’m going to travel to Novalja, Croatia, on my end-of-school trip, so my summer vacation phase is starting.
No matter whether one travels by car, bus, train or airplane, the most important things for me to make the journey more pleasant and comfortable are a mobile phone, headphones, a neck cushion and a sleeping mask. As I have a pink neck cushion, the only sleeping mask that fits is of course a pink one, too 😉 So I had to sew one by myself.

Draw the contour of the sleeping mask onto the texture, which should be a lot bigger than the later size of the sleeping mask.
Ausschneiden und das gleiche wiederholen, sodass am Ende zwei gleiche Teile herauskommen.
Cut it out an repeat the same procedure to have two equal pieces in the end.
Die Teile mit der Außenseite nach innen aufeinander legen und zusammennähen. Dabei einen Teil noch offen lassen!
Sew the parts onto each other with the outside inwards. Still leave one part open!
Stülpt die Brille um und füllt sie mit Watte/ Stoffresten. Dann näht das Loch von außen zu.
Turn the mask upside down and fill it with cotton. Afterwards, darn the hole from the outside.
Für das Gummiband einen Stoffstreifen mehr als doppelt so breit, wie der Gummi ist, abmessen, abschneiden und zusammennähen, anschließend den Gummi mithilfe einer Sicherheitsnadel hindurchfädeln.
For the elastic band, cut a strip of cloth which should be more than twice as broad as the elastic, sew it on one side and draw the elastic through it by the help of a safety pin.
Beide Enden auf gleicher Höhe an der Brille festnähen, und das war’s auch schon!
Sew both ends on the same height onto the sleeping mask, and that’s it!
